I want to thank all participants once again for coming out for the Sabino/Catalina count. I know the weather wasn’t perfect but I’m really glad that each and every one of you came out. Each group recorded at least 3-4 species that nobody else had and in the end that made a huge difference in the overall number of species recorded. We certainly didn’t break any records with the number of individuals seen but we did set a new record for the number of species detected (69). In fact, we had a total of 5 write-ins this year (highlighted in bold print), along with a handful of species that have only been recorded once or twice before.
